TÜRKİYE’NİN BADMİNTON TÜYTOPU ÜRETİM POTANSİYESİLİNİN EKONOMİK COĞRAFYA VE SPOR COĞRAFYASI BAĞLAMINDA İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
Badminton; hareketlilik, çabukluk, reaksiyon ve estetik gerektiren bir raket ve tüy top ile yapılan spor dalıdır. Bu spor dalında kullanılan tüy top, kaz yetiştiriciliğiyle ilişkili olması nedeniyle coğrafyanın alt dallarından olan ekonomik coğrafya ve spor coğrafyasıyla ilişkilidir. Bu araştırmada coğrafyanın badminton ile ilişki üzerinde durulmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında doküman analizi yöntemi ve veri toplamı aracı olarak gözlem metodu tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmada gözlem metodunun kullanılmasının nedeni; birinci araştırmacının sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni ve uzmanı kimliğinin yanında, beden eğitimi öğretmenliği ve badminton antrenörü kimliğinin bulunması ayrıca görev yaptığı yerde kaz yetiştiriciliğinin yoğun olarak yapılıyor olmasıdır. Çalışma kapsamında ekonomik coğrafya ve spor coğrafyasının badminton topu ile ilişkisi ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada, Ülkemizin kaz yetiştiriciliğinde önde gelen ülkeden biri olmasına rağmen badminton topu üretimine dair herhangi bir endüstriyel kuruluşun bulunmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca bu konuda ilgili yatırımların yapılmasının ülke ekonomisine katkı sağlayabileceği vurgulanmıştır.

Abstract
Badminton is a sport played with a racket and a shuttlecock, requiring mobility, quickness, reaction, and aesthetics. The shuttlecock used in this sport is related to goose breeding, which connects it to economic geography and sports geography—subfields of geography. This study focuses on the relationship between geography and badminton. Within the scope of the research, the document analysis method and observation method were used as data collection tools. The reason for using the observation method is that, in addition to the first researcher’s identity as a social studies teacher and specialist, they also work as a physical education teacher and badminton coach, and goose breeding is widely practiced in the region where they are employed. The study aimed to reveal the relationship between economic geography, sports geography, and the badminton shuttlecock. The research concluded that although our country is one of the leading nations in goose breeding, there is no industrial establishment related to the production of badminton shuttlecocks. It was also emphasized that investing in this area could contribute to the national economy.
